Abstract
Taufiqurrohim, Muhammad. 2023. An Analysis of Lecturers’ Perception on E-learning English Classes During the Covid-19 Pandemic. (A case study of Englih Lecturers’ of UIN Salatiga). A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State University for Islamic Studies (UIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Miftachudin, M.A. The study aimed to find the English lecturers’ perception during the covid-19 and problems with using E-learning, especially in English classes during the covid-19 pandemic. The subject was five English lecturers in the English classes of UIN Salatiga. The method of doing this research was qualitative research. The technique of collecting data was an interview. The interview was to determine the English lecturers’ perception of using e-learning during covid-19 and the problem in using e-learning English classes during the covid-19 pandemic. The findings indicated that the lecturers had a positive perception of using e-learning, such as effectiveness and efficiency in English classes, being a solution learning, and highly needed by lecturers during the covid-19, then e-learning is challenging. The problems were the lecturers’ time consuming in preparing the teaching material, the internet connection, how to choose the best application, and determining appropriate e-learning for students.
