Abstract
Ashar, Hanafi (2024). Development of Islamic boarding school-based PAI curriculum at RUQ Al Falah Middle School Salatiga and Dharma Lestari Middle School Salatiga. Thesis. Islamic Religious Education Study Program. Graduate program. Salatiga State Islamic University. Advisor : Dr. Mukh Nursikin, M.S.I., M.Pd. The aims of this research are: (1) To analyze the development of the PAI curriculum at RUQ Al Falah Middle School and Dharma Lestari Middle School. (2) To analyze the implications of developing the PAI curriculum at RUQ Al Falah Middle School and Dharma Lestari Middle School. (3) To analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors for the development of the PAI curriculum at RUQ Al Falah Middle School and Dharma Lestari Middle School. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. To test the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results of this research are: (1) The development of the Islamic boarding school-based PAI curriculum at RUQ Al Falah Middle School and Dharma Lestari Middle School was implemented through 3 stages, namely planning through the preparation and determination process. Then it continues with the implementation stage through the process of alignment, merger and differentiation. The last is the evaluation stage which contains examination and reporting. (2) The implications of developing an Islamic boarding school based PAI curriculum at RUQ Al Falah Middle School include a religious school environment, strengthening student character, increasing religious knowledge and achievement, paying attention to the diversity of student abilities, forming closeness between teachers and students and the quality of education. Meanwhile, the implications of developing an Islamic boarding school-based PAI curriculum at SMP Dharma Lestari include a religious school environment, increasing religious knowledge and achievement, developing student potential and mentality, improving the quality of education and developing soft skills, improving teacher quality and educational professionalism. (3) Supporting factors for the development of PAI at RUQ Al Falah Middle School are the wealth of human resources, teacher background, overall condition of students living in Islamic boarding schools, mastery of technology and teacher creativity, support from various parties. Supporting factors for the development of PAI at Dharma Lestari Middle School are complementary resources, the condition of students who also live in Islamic boarding schools, financial strength and support from various parties. Meanwhile, the factors inhibiting the development of the PAI curriculum at RUQ Al Falah Middle School are the school's financial condition which is still unstable, still affected by the effects of development, and the administrative burden on teachers. Meanwhile, the factors inhibiting the development of the PAI curriculum at Dharma Lestari Middle School are the different backgrounds of teachers, limited learning media, and the administrative burden that teachers usually complain about.
