Abstract
Taqiyyuddin, Hakim Aufa 2025. Language Attitude of Bilingual learners: a Case Study Contextualized in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul islam Tengaran 4. A graduating paper, English Education Department Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. Mashlihatul Umami, S. Pd. I., M. A. Keywords : Language Attitude, Bilingual Learner, Bilingual Education. The purpose of this research is to analyse the language attitude that appears in students and how language attitude affects language learning of students in Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Islam in the academic year 2024/2025. This research used descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted in Madrasah Nurul Islam Tengaran. Data was collected using interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants in this study were eight students from the eleventh grade of Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Islam Tengaran in the academic year 2024/2025 and an English teacher. Data analysis used in this research includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. In checking the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and triangulation techniques with the aim of getting absolutely valid data. The results of this study show the language attitude that often appear in students can be analysed through cognitive, affective and conative aspects. The cognitive aspect includes beliefs of language, the way perceives objects and understanding language process. In this aspect students show that they do not have a good inclination and understanding of English. Affective aspect includes inner feelings and various emotional factors. In this aspect students show a lack of confidence to use English because they feel they do not have a good understanding. Conative aspect especially discusses about behave to language in certain situation. Therefore, this research shows how language attitude affects students' language choice. Students in this school have a preference of learning Arabic over English, which also affects students' motivation to learn English
