The instrument met the validity and reliability requirements (sig > 0.05), and the data were normally distributed (sig = 0.827 > 0.05). The findings revealed that motivation significantly influenced English achievement (sig = 0.001 < 0.05; t = 4.372 > t-table = 1.991), contributing 17.4% to students’ performance. Persistence also had a significant effect (sig = 0.027 < 0.05; t = -2.252 > t-table = 1.991), with a 12.4% contribution. Simultaneously, motivation and persistence had a significant joint effect (sig = 0.001 < 0.05; F = 12.093 > F-table = 3.104), with a moderate combined contribution of 22%. In conclusion, students’ motivation and persistence have a significant influence on their English learning achievement at MAN 2 Semarang. Keywords: Motivation, Persistence, English Achievement.
