Abstract
ABSTRACT Mujib, Moh. Abdul. 2025. The Effectivenes of Edutainment Method in Teaching Speaking English to Young Learner at the Fourth Grade at SDN Kepoh, Pati in the Academic Year 2024/2025. The purpose of this study was to learn the students’ speaking skills before and after treatment using Edutainment at the fourth-grade students at SDN Kepoh, Pati in the academic year 2024/2025. This study used pre-experimental research. The data collection technique was used for tests and documentation. Two types of tests were used: pre-test and post-test. The participants of this study were 22 students from thefourth-grade of SDN Kepoh, Pati. The data were analyzed using the Paired Sample T-test and the N-gain test. The findings of this study showed differences in students' speaking skills before and after treatment utilizing Edutainment Method. The difference between the pre-test and post-test mean scores showed an improvement in the mean score. The mean score after treatment is 82.7, which is higher than the score before treatment, which was 59.2. According to the statistical analysis, the N gain score is 0.689, the T-test value is 11.699, and the 2-tailed significant value is 0.000. This indicates that there are significant differences in the student's speaking skill before and after using Edutainment Method. Students' speaking skill was improved after receiving treatment with Edutainment Method. The use of Edutainment Method as a teaching method can affect students' speaking skill. It can be concluded that the use of Edutainment Method as methid has proven to be effective in teaching speaking skill. Keywords : Edutainment Method; Speaking Skill; Young Learner.
