Abstract
This study investigates the effectiveness of Wordwall in enhancing English writing skills among eighth grade students at SMP RUQ Al-Falah Salatiga. An experimental design was used, dividing students into two groups: the experimental group taught with Wordwall and the control group taught with Quizizz. Results showed the experimental group’s mean score improved significantly from 47.08 to 88.20, while the control group increased from 41.32 to 63.20. The N-Gain score for the experimental group was 0.71 (high), indicating greater progress compared to the control group’s 0.17 (low to medium). Statistical analysis confirmed the significance of these improvements (p < 0.05). These findings demonstrate that Wordwall effectively enhances student engagement and mastery of writing components such as grammar and vocabulary. Aligned with constructivist theory, Wordwall promotes active, student-centered learning. Therefore, it is recommended as an effective tool for teaching English writing.
