Putri, Adhelia. 2025. The Effectiveness of Using TikTok Application to Teach Speaking skills of the Seventh Grade Students at MTs Nurul Islam Musuk, Boyolali in the Academic Year 2024/2025. A graduating paper. English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. Mashlihatul Umami, S.Pd.I., M.A. Keywords: TikTok Application, Speaking Skills The purpose of this study is to determine the profile of students' speaking ability before and after the use of TikTok Application, as well as to determine the effectiveness of using TikTok Application to teach speaking skills for the seventh grade students at MTs Nurul Islam Musuk in the academic year 2024/2025. This research used quantitative true experimental methodology, with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample included 25 students from class group VII A was the experimental class and 26 students from class group of VII C was control class. Random sampling was used as the sample method. In addition, the following processes were used to conduct the study: giving the initial test, implementing the treatment plan, and giving the post-test. The study findings revealed that mean pre-test score, 57.73, was lower than the average score on the post-test, 83.38. After using TikTok application, the average score of students increased to 26.81 points. The T-table of 2.060 is lower than the T-test result of 16.393. At the interval of 0.3 ≤ g ≤ 0.7, the N-Gain score of the experimental group was 0.60, which indicates a moderate level, while the N-Gain score of the control group was 0.27, which indicates a low level at the interval of 0 < g < 0.3. Thus. It has been proven that there is a significant improvement after using the TikTok application compared to YouTube Shorts. It can be said that the use of the TikTok application is effective for teaching speaking skills to seventh grade students at MTs Nurul Islam Musuk, Boyolali in the academic year 2024/2025.
