The research has purposed to improve students’ reading comprehension. The main questions in the research are (1) How is the use of Reciprocal Teaching Strategy to improve students’ reading comprehension of narrative text for the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Tuntang in the academic year 2018/2019? (2) How is the result of the use of Reciprocal Teaching Strategy to improve students’ reading comprehension of narrative text for the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Tuntang in the academic year 2018/2019? The objectives of the research are to identify and to find out the result of using Reciprocal Teaching Strategy on students’ reading comprehension of narrative text for the tenth grade students of SMAN 1 Tuntang in the academic year 2018/2019. The method of the research used Classroom Action Research (CAR). There were two cycles; each cycle consisted: planning, implementing action, observing, and reflecting. The techniques of collecting data are observation, test and documentation. The result of the research shows that pre-test and post-test score are 47.05% and 64.71% students’ who passed the passing grade in cycle I. Pre-test and post-test score of cycle II are 64.7% and 85.3% students’ who passed the passing grade. Furthermore, the result of t-test calculation in cycle I is 4.75 and in cycle 2 is 4.76. These indicates that by applying Reciprocal Teaching Strategy provides a great contribution in improving students’ reading comprehension of narrative text.
