Abstract

This thesis aims to determine the implementation of school-based management in improving the quality of learning in Mage lang District Elementary School , represented by MI Muhammadiyah Paremono and MIN Sumberrejo. This research is a qualitative phenomenological approach. Source of data obtained by the pri mary and secondary data sources. The collection of data through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis technics by reducing the data, presentation of data and draw conclusions. Issues covered include school based management concept and its implementation in the school system in Indonesia, implementation School Based Management, inhibiting factors and supporting factors SBM and the impact of MBS on the quality of learning at MIN Sumberrejo and MI Muhammadiyah Paremono. The results showed that the implementation of SBM in Magelang District Elementary School conducted in accordance with a program that has been planned with the involvement of all elements of the head madrsah madrasa, teachers, and community committees which implement the principles efektiif and efficient use of resources both madrasah personnel, material, and means. School Based Management component that includes Management Curriculum and Teaching Program, Student Personnel, Public Relations with Schools, Finance and Funding, Facilities and Infrastructure Education, and Special Services. Improving the quality of learning viewed from a variety of factors, namely, an increase in the madrassa management, performance headmaster, teachers and community participation, learning processes that are effective and efficient, student learning outcomes are always increasing both academic and non academic, and of overcoming the various constraints faced by schools thanks to the cooperation of the parties involved are partly responsible . It proved role and function of SBM in accordance with planning as a key element of management applied to the annual work plan and rational good fit existing priorities and management functions greatly affects the quality improvement of learning
