Keywords: Students’ Perceptions, Reading Skill, Internet. This study analyses student’s perception toward the use of internet to Improve Reading Skill. The aims of this study are (1) to explain the students’ perceptions in the utilization of internet as their efforts to improve reading skill; (2) to describe students’ perceptions about the importance of internet as a media in reading class; (3) to explain the students’ frequency to access Internet; and (4) To identify the popular websites used by the student to improve their reading skill. This study uses the descriptive method to reveal the research problems. This study used two kinds of questionnaire to collect the data. Totally, it has of 26 questions with five options to reveal the students’ perception of the use of Internet. The questionnaire is distributed to 80 fifth semester students of English Department who took reading class at State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. The finding shows that (1) The students’ perception toward the use of Internet to improve Reading Comprehension subject is positive; (2) According to the students, the use of Internet to access reading materials is very important; (3) The students are frequently access internet to find the reading materials; and (4) Some popular websites that selected by the students to improve their reading skill for instance Wikipedia, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Voice of America (VOA) and so forth.
