Abstract

Key Words: Physical Arousal, Speech Anxiety. The objectives of this research are to find out the level of Physical Arousal, the level of speech anxiety and the correlation between them among the nine grade students of MTs Al-Uswah Bergas in the academic year 2019/2020. The method of the research is quantitative research in correlative type. The technique of collecting the data is questionnaire. Questionnaire is used to depict the level of physical arousal and speech anxiety. After conducting the research, the researcher finds that the level of physical arousal among nine grade students of MTs Al Uswah is moderate category. Then, the level of Speech Anxiety among nine grade students of MTs Al Uswah is high level anxiety. Moreover, the result of data analysis for the correlation between both of physical arousal and speech anxiety that is calculated by SPSS shows that significant value 0.227 and r calculation (0,158) less than 0,21. It can be concluded that “There is no significance correlation between physical arousal and speech anxiety among nine grades students of MTs Al Uswah Bergas in the academic year 2019/2020.
