Abstract

The objectives of the study are : To describe the intrinsic ofliterary elements of thenovel "sang pemimpi", to analyze the cultural background in the novel, to find out thefundamental educational values of the novel. To collect the data, the writer usedlibrary research and documentation. The writer also looked for other informationthat is relevant and appropriate with the research problem. After analyzing thenovel "Sang Pemimpi'' the writer can draw some conclusions that the educationvalues are self reliability, courage, self discipline and know the limits, peace andlove, respectfull, sensitive and unselfish, love and affection, kind and friendly.The cultural background of the novel tells about the customs of Malay people thatstill traditionally and upholds the religious lessons.
