Abstract

In this study, the writer chooses "letto 's songs album". This album ischosen to be analyzed because it has some of figurative languages. The purposesare to find figurative language in it, to find the most dominant figurative languageand to find the simple way to identify figurative languages that are contained insongs lyric, especially in lettos songs. The research method was qualitativedescriptive analysis. It means that this research does not calculate the data and justgives description about figurative languages that is contained in letto's songs. It isdone by writing the songs lyric; classifying the figurative language, and thengiving reasons. Results of this research are to find figurative languages(personification, ellipsis, rhetoric, metaphor, synecdoche, anti climax, pleonasm),it can be used as medium for teacher in learning process, and add knowledgeabout it. Beside that, we find the most figurative language in it (ellipsis) and findhow to identify figurative language in it (by seeing subject, verb and adverb).
