Abstract
Thii researcb is aimed Bl knowing what the st1.1denti, perception of havingtaught by foreigner counterpart in a co1rvcrsatioinal elass, Besides claborat1ng thestudents' perception which affects bow they act •~d behove during tbc t~chingand le01ning process, this research also wants to explore the students' diffioultiesand strategies in fe..~itig the f~reigner, s class. Then, tllc students· expectation ofideal con v •ersatianal class is also impcrtant to be in·vestig::ated in order ta conduct better one in the future. Since this research oxploras 6>• students' percoplion\~hicf\ come from d1e students' experience, qualltative approach is considered an appropriate rcseerc~ design. Then the result of this research is presenteddescriptively in order to reveal the students' perception «>mprehensi\·cly. Thetindiog> of Ibis research show that most nf Ute st•denis give high appreciationwith th< presence of forrign<I'. In fact, tho personality of the foreigner as a teacheris also ... el)· nnportant to be hiKhlisflted sinee it gives significant influence students' perception. The personality and skill i11 classroom management becomersasons for the other students wbo do not like the lbreignor. Then, thecommenication problem ii the studencsi main difficu~t)' t11at hinders their tca~hil\gand ]clln)jng process. One solution IO overcome tho problem is by peer help.
