Abstract

This research aims to describe the altruism values presented in the movie, and to know altruism values that appropriate with Indonesian education. This is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection technique uses in this research are choosing the movie, watching the movie, downloading the movie script, matching the movie script and the dialogue in the movie, identifying the values to find the related data, classifying and selecting the relevant data. After conducting the research, the researcher found altruism values in “The Greatest Showman” movie, such as: affection, care, cooperative, helping others, generous, sacrifice, sincerity, and sympathy. The dominant altruism values in this movie was the care. Altruism values that appropriate with Indonesian education, such as: affection, care, cooperative, helping others, and generous.
