Abstract

The aim of this study was to know how the concepts of self control and moral in the book of Ihya 'Ulumuddin and its implications in the learning of Islamic Education. This study used library research method or literature study that is descriptive qualitative with a philosophy-history approach. The analytical method is content analysis that is research that is in-depth discussion of the contents. In collecting the data the researcher used the documentation method which consisted of primary and secondary sources. The primary sources are the book of Ihya ‘Ulumuddin and secondary sources in this study are the book of Kimia al-Sa'adah, al-Adab fiddin, books and journals related to the discussion. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that in the Book of Ihya 'Ulumudin, the concept of self control is an attempt to control parts of the human. Starting from ma'rifatun nafs, ta'allum and riyadhoh to form good moral embryos. Adab is a state of the heart that encourages spontaneous emergence of behavior without the need for thought and consideration. The concept of self-control and adab al-Ghazali is very relevant to the purpose of Islamic religious education, human beings who are blessed by Allah, who carry out their ideal role as servants and khal?fah of Allah perfectly. This concept can be applied to the RPP by providing an understanding of the importance of self-control and adab in every Islamic religious education learning with Kimia al-Sa'adah's and al-Adab fiddin by al-Ghazali.
