Abstract

Jin, Aris. 2020. The Use of Outdoor As Medium of Teaching English Vocabulary In The Seventh Grade of MTs Darul Falah Pringsurat Temanggung in the academic years of 2019/2020. A Graduating Paper, English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. H. Sa?adi, M. Ag. The objectives of the study are: To know the implementation and to find out the use of “Outdoor” as medium to improve vocabulary mastery for the seventh grade of MTs Darul Falah Pringsurat Temanggung in the academic year of 2019/2020. The numbers of subject of the research are 28 students of VII Aclass of MTs Darul Falah Pringsurat Temanggung. The methodology of this research was classroom action research. The research consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisted of four steps, they were; planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data collected were qualitative but also supported by quantitative data. The qualitative data were gained through observation and documentation. The data were in the form field notes, observation checklist and photographs. Meanwhile, the quantitative data was collected from the test. The researcher used SPSS 18.00 for analyzing the tes Base on the discussion in the research. Finally, the researcher concluded that the t-test calculation from the result of pre-test and post-test in cycle I is 4,512 and in cycle II is 4,502. Both of them is greater than t-table with n=28 is 2,051. It means that the use of outdoor as medium of teaching English vocabulary can improve the students? vocabulary mastery.
