Abstract
ABSRTACT Wahib, N.D.S.I. 2020. Students’ Perception of Teacher’s Bilingual Language Used in English Teaching-Learning Process at SMA Negeri 1 Suruh. A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. Mashlihatul Umami, S.Pd.I., M.A. Keywords: Bilingual Language, Students’ Perception, English Teaching-Learning Process The objectives of the study are: (1) To know the dominant language used by the teacher in English teaching-learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Suruh. (2) To know the types of students’ perceptions about teacher’s bilingual language used in English teaching-learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Suruh. The respondent of the study consists of English teacher and the first-grade students of MIPA II at SMA Negeri 1 Suruh. Qualitative approach is considered as an appropriate approach and descriptive as type of the research. The result of this research is presented descriptively. The researcher founds that: (1) The dominant language used by the teacher in English teaching-learning process is Indonesian.; (2) the types of students’ perception about teacher’s bilingual language used in English teaching-learning process teaching-learning process is positive perception.
