Abstract

This research aims to know whether the teacher's perception about effective communication at the supervising influences the Islamic Studies teacher's performance or not. In this case, gender becomes the moderating variable. The object and respondent of the study are all teacher of islamic studies in Tuntang and Banyubiru Distric Semarang Regency at 2016. It's about 49 person and it's a kind of field research. In collecting data, the writer using quesioner, the validity testing using pearson product moment, reliability testing using cronbach alpha. The assumptions of this thesis are normality,homoginity, and linear testing. The hipotesis using simple linear regency and the grade testing.The analysis toolsusing SPSS ( Statistic Productfor Service Solution) release 22.0 The result shows that there is a possitive and significant thing influences this case. It can be seen by the grade r (xy) 0,566 the coefisien determiner value r2 (xy)0,320 the significant grade is 0,000 with the linear regresion line Y = 41,721+ 0,905X.Gender become a moderator but it isn’t significant in this case. It is showed in Y=87,277 + 6,232 ZX+2,287 ZZ+ 1,814 AbsX_Z and the significant grade less than 5%. Key word: effective communication; performance; gender.
