Abstract

ABSTRACT IMPLEMENTATION OF SUPERVISION OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION (PAI) AS QUALITY CONTROL ON PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION TEACHER: STUDIES IN KKG PAI SUBDISTRICT NGAWEN AND BANJAREJO BLORA REGENCY This study aimed to investigate the implementation of supervision of Islamic Education ( PAI ) in KKG PAI atSubdistrict Ngawen and Banjarejo, Blora Regency. It focused on; a) Techniques of PAI supervision; b) The impact of the implementation of PAI supervision as quality control on teachers professional competence, and c) Supporting and obstacle factors of PAI supervision. This research involoved PAI’s teachers whose were grouped in KKG PAI. This study was using qualitative research and phenomenological approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of data using interactive models according to Miles and Huberman analysis (1984) namely reduction, display, and conclusion. Data validation was done by using triangulation data. The results of this research are: 1) Technic of supervision used in supervision PAI is individual technic with visitation and classroom observation and through empowerment of KKG PAI. It is considered very effective to see the progress of GPAI and reach implementation of PAI supervision in some schools located in distant areas; 2) The impact of the implementation of supervision PAI is an increase in the quality of GPAI appears on professional competence of GPAI, but still minimal in terms of scientific work and research; 3). Based on the SWOT analysis, it was found some supporting and obstacle factors in the implementation of supervision PAI, both internal and external factors.
