The purpose of this research is knowing that the seventh grade students’ don’t have anxiety in writing narrative text of MTS Ma’arif NU 2 Taraban. This research generally answered the :two questions: (1). How is the students’ anxiety in writing a narrative text of the seventh grade students of MTS Ma’arif NU 2 Taraban in the academic year 2019/2020 (2). Wat are teachers’ strategies to cope with students anxiety in writing a narrative text of the seventh grade students of MTS Ma’arif NU 2 Taraban in the academic year 2019/2020. The methodology of research was qualitative research. The techniques of collecting data were observation, interview, and documentation. The interview consists of 24 respondents the two semester of the seventh grade students anxiety in writing narrative text at MTS Ma’arif NU 2 Taraban. The interview to find out the students who are not anxious about writing narrative text of MTS Ma’arif NU 2 Taraban. But, the writer finds positive students anxiety about writing narrative texts. Most of the seventh grade students felt worried when the teacher explained about the material. In addition, the second student felt afraid, because students can not compose sentences correctly. The third students felt happy, because when the teacher explained material the students already understand. And in the end, students felt unhappy, because they think this material is difficult. Key Words: Students’ Anxiety; Writing Narrative Text.
