Abstract

Annisa, Afifah Nur. 2020. The Analysis of English Teachers’ Performances in Evaluating English Learning in Getasan, Semarang. A Graduating Paper. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Englisg Education Department. State Institute for Islamic Studies Salatiga. Counselor: Hammam, M. Pd., Ph. D. This research aims to find out how were teachers’ performances to evaluate English learning in Getasan and how do teachers evaluate English learning in Getasan. The sample of this research are 5 teachers. This research used qualitative descriptive method. Technique of data collection in this reaserch used interview and documentation. Writer did the interview by asking several oral question directly addresed to the respondents to obtained data and information about the performances of English teachers in conducting learning evaluation. The writer analyzed the validity of the question by respondents with existing document. The writer finds the performance of English teachers in the implementation of learning evaluation was classified as good. It is indicated by recapitulation of the final result of observation from the five English teachers shows “Yes” item has 97,2%. The process or stages of the evaluation carried out by the five English teachers whom the writer examined are in a coherent and systematic manner. The first step that the teacher takes in implementing the learning evaluation is making an evaluation design, followed by designing an evaluation instrument. With the existence of an evaluation instrument, evaluation activities carried out. After the evaluation is was held, the value is caused (evaluation result). The value is then processed to being interpreted. The results of this interpretation can be used as a teacher's introspection of teaching methods, teaching techniques, etc. for future learning. The results of this interpretation then reported to the principal, fellow teachers who need it, and the guardian of the students. The essence of each stage is to pay attention to the efficiency and objectives of implemented the learning evaluation that has been listed in the lesson plan.
