Abstract
ABSTRACT Ananta, Fitri. 2021. Students’ Perception on The use of Indonesian Language in Teaching Learning Activity a case study at SMKN 3 Salatiga. Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Salatiga State Institute for Islamic Studies. Counselor: Sari Famularsih, S,Pd.I., M,A. The purpose of this study is to determine students' perception of the use of indonesian language in English learning activity. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects in this study were Eleventh grade students at SMKN 3 Salatiga. The objectives of the research are 1) to know what are the students’ perception on the use of indonesian language in English learning activity. 2) to know what are the factors causes of students’ on the use of indonesian language in English learning activity. Researchers used questionnaires, interviews and documentation to collect data. The method in this study used descriptive qualitative method. The findings show that students have a positive perception on the use of indonesian language in learning English in the classroom. the use of indonesian language is helping them to understand English. So, native language is very effective in making it easier for students to understand the meaning of English itself. Keywords: Students’ Perception, Englishh learning, Indonesian language
