This research focuses on students’ perceptions of reviewing journal articles in learning code-mixing on sociolinguistics by the students who joined sociolinguistics in C class in the fourth semester in English Education Department Teacher Training and Education Faculty State Institute For Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga in the academic year 2019/2020. The students consist of 10 students with good score and 10 students in middle score. This research aims to answer the following research questions (1) How are the students’ perceptions of reviewing journal articles in learning code-mixing on sociolinguistics? (2) How reviewing journal articles help students in learning code- mixing on sociolinguistics? The data source of this research are from questionnaire, the results of questionnaire given online trough google form. At the end the ressearcher drew the conclusion which in accordance with the research finding. The result of this research show that (1) The students have a positive perceptions of reviewing journal article in learning sociolingiustics. They stated journal article is a good strategy and effective in learning sociolinguistics, because it is easy to implemented and easy for the students to understand. It help the students in learning sociolinguistics and it is useful in development of understanding sociolinguistics. (2) Reviewing journal article help the students in learning sociolinguistic through find the journal article resource, reading, understanding, find the main topic, analyzing, and summarizing. The researcher used triangulation to check the validity of the data. Keywords: Perception, Review, Journal Article, Sociolinguistics, code-mixing.
