Abstract

This research aims to analyze on Coloring Words and Letters to Comprehend English Material (the Case Study at Eight Semester of English Education Department Students of IAIN Salatiga). Descriptive qualitative used in this study. The subjects were eight of 8th Semester of English Education Department Students of IAIN Salatiga. The data were collected through interview. The result of this research show that coloring words and letters can help students to pay attention to the material. Coloring words and letters also can help students to categorize the English learning materials easily. Colors also give some benefit to the user or the students who use colored words and letters such as coloring words and letters help the students to memorize the English learning materials, Coloring words and letters help the students to remember the English learning materials that ever studied, and according to students’ perception on coloring words and letters have the most important impact of coloring words and letters in learning English material is that colors can motivate the students in learning English material.
