Counselor: Hanung Triyoko, S.S., M.Hum., M.Pd., The purpose of this study was to find out student’s preferences in using English Self Recording Video and Zoom Interview media to study student’s speaking skills, to find out the advantages of using English self recording videos and also to find out the advantages of using zoom interviews. This type of research is qualitative. This study uses a questionnaire to collect data. The type of questionnaire used in this study was a closed questionnaire with a yes/no question form. The questions in this study were distributed via Google form. Respondents who filled out the research questionnaire were students majoring in English at IAIN Salatiga semester 8 who were students from batch 2018 who had used English Self Recording Video and Zoom Interview in the learning process for at least three time. Data were analyzed and interpreted through qualitative procedures supplemented by data validation using data triangulation. The findings show that students prefer the use of English self recording video media for learning. Advantages of using the English self recording video Media, among others; Students are more confident when using the English self recording video, Students are less nervous when using the English self recording video, Encouraging Students to be More Creative and Innovative. Advantages of using the zoom interview medias, among others; Students get feedback from the teacher faster when using zoom interviews compared to using English self recording videos. Zoom interviews are more wasteful of quotas and often have signal problems. students are more nervous when using zoom interview media. Keywords: Speaking, Self Recording Video, Zoom Interview.
