Abstract

This research was conducted at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Simo, focused on Self-Regulated Learning and Academic Achievement in English Subject. The objectives of the research are: (1) to know the level of self-Regulated Learning and Academic Achievement in English Subject in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Simo; (2) to know the positive or negative relationship between Self-Regulated Learning and Academic Achievement in English Subject SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Simo; (3) to know the significant relationship between Self-Regulated Learning and Academic Achievement in English subject in SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Simo. The methodology of the research is quantitative research. The number of samples was 36 students where the determination of the sample using simple random sampling. The data were collected through spreading questionnaires and English final scores. The data was analyzed using Pearson Product Moment with the help of SPSS 26 for windows. The results are (1) viewed from the percentage of self-regulated learning, most students are at a medium level, which is 58.3%. Besides that, the result of English final score level is that most of the students have medium test results (69.4%); (2) the relationship between the two variables is positive, where the results of the Self-Regulated Learning variable increase, the learning outcomes variable also increase.; (3) from the table it is known that there was a very weak and no significant relationship between Self-Regulated Learning and English Learning Achievement at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Simo (p-value = 0.611, r = 0.088).
