Abstract

Students' Perception on the Use of TikTok Related to Students' English Vocabulary Mastery A Study at the Second Semester Students of English Education Department in the Academic Year 2021/2022). English Education Department. Teacher Training and Educational Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies of Salatiga. Counselor: Faizal Risdianto, S.S, M.Hum. This research aims to identify the students' perceptions on the use of TikTok related to students’ English vocabulary mastery and to describe the benefits of using TikTok related to students’ English vocabulary based on students’ perception. Qualitative research is used in this study. The subjects were twenty-three English Education Department students at the second semester of State Institute for Islamic Study of Salatiga. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaire and documentation. This research found the use of Tiktok as a learning support media is helpful for their English vocabulary. The use of TikTok related to students’ English vocabulary has many benefits. The use of TikTok can help the students to get new vocabulary from various materials, and also known that the use of TikTok can be one of new learning tool which is easy and fun to use it and the use of TikTok has significant impact in improving students’ English vocabulary.
