Abstract

ABSTRACT The existence of a productive waqf institution for al-azhar drinking water wakar is a response to the social problems of Indonesian Muslim society, namely the large poverty rate of Indonesian Muslim people and the insistence on their welfare. education, and Islamic da'wah, a professional and transparent management and management method is needed by utilizing all existing moments to the fullest both offline and online/digital, such as utilizing blockchain digital application technology which is very effective and efficient, so that the role of drinking water waqf is al-azhar is in harmony with the objectives of Sharia, namely to contribute, namely the benefit of the people in ḍarūrīyāt al-khams, namely the protection of religion, mind, soul, lineage and property, as well as the benefit of the hajjiyah and taḥsinīyāt. This research on productive waqf of al-azhar drinking water waqf uses qualitative research methods by collecting primary data, namely field data and secondary data, namely data from literature, then both data are processed using systematic analysis methods, the result is the role of productive waqf, al-azhar drinking water waqf. Al-Azhar has contributed to the people, namely benefit which is in line with the perspective of Maqāşid asy-Syarī’ah Asy-Syatibi, but this contribution has not been maximized because the management factors have not been optimal.
