Abstract
ABSTRACT Okta Yuliana, Juwita 2023. Improving English Writing Ability Using Implicit Learning Method. A Graduating Paper. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. English Education Department. Salatiga State Islamic University. Counselor: Dr. Hanung Triyoko, S.S., M.Hum., M.Ed., Researcher conducted research to improve students writing skills using the implicit learning method. This research answer two questions (1) How is the implementation of the implicit learning method in teaching writing implemented for MAN 2 Semarang? (2) How significant is the implement of students‟ writing using implicit learning method? The research design of this study was Classroom Action Research. It was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. From the study, the researcher could conclude that the implementation of the study improved from cycle 1 and cycle 2. The improvement of the study was showed when the researcher conducted cycle 1 and cycle 2. The result of the t-test of cycle 1 was 4,820 and cycle 2 was 4,816. The passing grade was 75 and the target of the passing grade was 75%. The outcome of the post of cycle 2 was 92% from the students. The target of cycle 2 was achieved, so the researcher stopped the study. It means that the classroom action research by using implicit learning method is able to improve the students‟ writing skills. From the study, there were 25 students who opined that there fun and easy to understand the materials in learning using implicit learning method. Key Word: Writing, Learning, Implicit
