Abstract

The aims of this study to find out how the student’s interest and what are the factors that affect the students’s interest in learning English using Google Classroom. This research uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques used by the researcher are by interviews. The subject are 13 students from the Eight grade students and one of the English teacher of SMP N 1 Srumbung. The findings of this study indicated that the students have low interest in learning English using Google Classroom. The students don’t have the desire and pleasure feeling to learn because the material is difficult to understand and learning English by Google Classroom it was boring, although the students pay attention when teaching learning process and did the assignment, but the results of learning were less than optimal. The factor that affect the student’s interest in learning English using google classroom that are: Internal factors; a) comfort in learning, b) willingness to learn, c) students participation, d)students motivation, e) student health; meanwhile the external factors; a) family, b) school, c) community.
