Abstract
Alviona, F. (2023). The Effectiveness of Project-Based Learning with E-Poster Media In Teaching English Writing For The Eight Grade Students of SMPN 2 Ambarawa In The Academic Year Of 2022/2023 A Graduating Paper, English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga. Counsellor: Muhamad Hasbi, M.A. The objectives of this study were: (1) To find out the students’ profile English writing skill before and after being taught using Project-Based Learning with E-Poster media for class VIII of SMPN 2 Ambarawa (2) To know the effectiveness of students’ writing skill after using Project-Based Learning with E-Poster media in class VIII SMP N 2 Ambarawa. This study was quantitative research especially a quasi experimental research. The subject of the research were two class groups in the eight grade of SMPN 2 Ambarawa, the sampling technique is choosen by using purposive sampling. There are two classes, one group as the experimental class was given treatment using the Project-based learning model and the other class as the control class was given treatment using discovery learning methods.The result of the research showed that (1) the mean of pre-test for experimental class was 53,12. Meanwhile, the mean of control class pre-test was 53,70.The students’ English writing after being taugh using of Project-based learning with E-poster media analyzed by SPSS version 21 showed that the mean of experimental class of post-test was 80,91. The difference between pre-test and post-test mean of students’ English writing by Project-Based Learning with E- Poster media was 27,80. Meanwhile, the calculation showed for control class, the mean of pre-test was 53,70 and the mean of post-test was 78,15. The mean of post-test was also higher than the mean of pre-test.The different result between the students’ pre-test and post-test was 24,45. ) the result of hypothesis test that t- test is higher than t-table (23.680> 2.036). The probability of significant (2-tailed) is 0.000 which means less than the level of significant (0.05). It can be concluded that using Project-Based Learning with E-Poster media to teach English writing is significant. Keywords: Project-Based Learning, E-Poster, Writing
