Abstract
This research was conducted at KB-TK Bethany School Salatiga. The objectives of this research were to find out the instructional strategies used by teacher to teach English vocabularies at KB-TK Bethany School Salatiga in academic year 2022/2023, teaching English vocabulary strategies used by the teacher at KB-TK Bethany School Salatiga in academic year 2022/2023, and students’ responses to the English vocabulary teaching strategies used by the teacher at KB-TK Bethany School Salatiga in academic year 2022/2023. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method to answer the research question. The instruments of this research were interview, observation, and documentation. The participants of this research were teacher who graduates from English Education who took linear program of the PG PAUD to meet teaching criteria for teaching young learners and students of TK B Noah class at KB-TK Bethany School Salatiga in academic year 2022/2023. The result presented teacher used instructional strategies such as; pre instructional activities, content presentation, learner participation, assessment, and follow-through activities. Teacher applied 10 vocabulary strategies to achieve successful instructional strategies for teach young learners such as; picture, definition, enumeration, listen and repeat, listen and do, group discussion, cooperative learning, question and inquiry, brainstorming, and outdoor activity. Researcher also found that the students’ showed positive responses from the 10 strategies that was applied by the teacher.
