Abstract

This research was conducted at RA Muslimat Jatirejo. The objective of this research was to find out the significant effectiveness of using songs method to master English vocabulary at RA Muslimat Jatirejo in the academic year of 2023/2024. The researcher used a quantitative-experimental method. The sample of the research are TK B1. The researcher used pre-test before treatment and post-test for treatment results as the instruments for data collection. Further, the data was analyzed and interpreted through quantitative procedure used SPSS 29.0 version. The result indicates that the mean score of the post-test is higher than the mean score of the pre-test, which the mean of pre-test is 6,92 and the mean score of the post-test is 14,42. It means that there is difference score improvement in vocabulary mastery using songs before and after being taught by songs. Furthermore, based on the statistical analysis using T-test with SPSS 29.0 version for windows, Based on the statistical analysis using T-test, the data computation of Paired samples t-test shown the value 0.001 < 0.05. So as the basis for decision making in the Paired samples t-test, it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be interpreted that there were significant differences score in vocabulary mastery using English songs before and after being taught by using songs method to master English vocabulary at RA Muslimat Jatirejo. It means that using songs is effectively used to master English vocabulary at RA Muslimat Jatirejo.
