The Use of Storyboards of Procedure Text to Improve Students’ Speaking Skills ( A Classroom Action Research at the Ninth Grade Students of SMP Islam Ar-Rahmah Suruh in the Academic Year of 2023/2024). Counselor: Miftachudin, M.A. The objectives of this research are stated as follows: (1) To know the use of storyboard to improve the speaking skills of the ninth-grade student of SMP Islam Ar-Rahmah Suruh in the Academic Year of 2023/2024; (2) To find out how is the improvement of student speaking skills by using a storyboard at the ninth-grade student of SMP Islam Ar- Rahmah Suruh in the Academic Year of 2023/2024. This research method was a Classroom Action Research. It was conducted in two cycles with four parts. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observation, and reflection. Each cycle conducts a pre-test and post- test. The subjects of this research were 20 students from SMP Islam Ar- Rahmah Suruh. From the research findings, the researcher can conclude that students' speaking skills improved from cycle 1 and cycle 2. The t-test result in cycle 2 was 53.6, and the minimum score was 72 while the target success in this study was 80%. The post-test results show that 80% of students have passed the minimum score. The target in cycle 2 has been achieved, so the researcher decided to stop the research. It means that Classroom Action Research using storyboards on procedure text material can improve students’ speaking skills. Keywords: Storyboard; Speaking Skills; Procedure Text
