Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect Blooket on students’ reading comprehension before and after being taught using Blooket and to find out the results of effect of Blooket on students’ reading comprehension in the tenth grade of SMK Saraswati Salatiga. This study is a quantitative research with one group pre-test post-test experimental research design method. The subject in this study took one class in the tenth grade at SMK Saraswati Salatiga. The samples taken totaled 30 students. The sample used purposive sampling technique. The data in this study were tested using the T-test formula by comparing the average scores of the pre-test and post-test. The data was analyzed using SPSS Statistic 25.0 windows. The findings showed that the average score of post-test was higher than the average score of the pre-test (74,83 > 57). Then, the students’ mean score increases by 17,83 points after being taught with Blooket. It mean of that there was difference of students’ reading comprehension after they were taught using Blooket application. The result on the T-test (t_o) shows higher than the T-table (t_t) (9.794 > 2,0452) with degree of freedom (df) 29. It means that there is a significant effect in students’ reading comprehension before and after being taught using Blooket application in class X Teknik Kendaraan Ringan D (X TKRD) students’ of SMK Saraswati Salatiga.
