Abstract
This studyaims to answer the following research question: 1) In what ways deos the teacher use the CLT in the class to teach about personal pronouns and possessive pronouns to make simple dialogue text? 2) What are the strengths and weaknesses of using CLT for the second year of SMP Negeri 8 Salatiga? This research used a descriptive qualitative approach, then the data collection techniques using classroom observation and interviews. Based on the observation, the writer found that the teacher's ways to implement CLTin the class are to teach about personal pronouns and possessive pronouns to make simple dialogue and texts. the findings also showed that the teacher used 'self-development', developing communication competency orallyand written, and playing roles. This writer also found the strengths and the weaknesses of using CLT by English teacher during classroom interactions. keywords: CLT, Personal Pronouns, Possessive Pronouns
