Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in students' vocabulary mastery before and after treatment and assess the effectiveness of Jeopardy game media for the seventh-grade students of MTs SA Manbaul Qur'an. This study used a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test. Data collection techniques used tests and documentation. The participants in this study were 19 students of class VII A MTs SA Manbaul Qur'an. This study's findings show a difference in students' vocabulary mastery before and after using Jeopardy game media. That can be seen from the pre-test average score, which was 66.05, then increased to 85.53 after the treatment, with an increase of 29%. Furthermore, the calculated t-test value (9.163), which exceeds the t-table value (2.101), indicates a significant effect of the Jeopardy game media. The significance level of 0.000 (lower than 0.05) confirmed the significant difference in vocabulary mastery before and after the treatment. In addition, the n-gain value of 0.57 with a medium category further strengthens the idea that Jeopardy game media effective towards students' vocabulary mastery.
