Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the student's interest in learning English in the twelfth grade of Saraswati Vocational High School in the academic year 2024/2025. This study used a quantitative descriptive research method. The data collection used was a questionnaire. The subjects in this study were in class XII TKR A, at SMK Saraswati Salatiga. The research data were then processed and analyzed using the SPSS Version 25.0 and Microsoft Excel application. The results of the study showed that in terms of all indicators that affect learning interest, there were no students who were not interested (0%), students who were less interested were 2 students (7.4%), students who were quite interested were 14 students (51.9), students who were interested were 8 students (29.6%), and students who were very interested were 3 students (11.1%). Interest in learning is reviewed from the happy feeling indicator; there are no students who are not interested and less interested (0%), there are 10 students who are quite interested (37.0%), there are 12 students who are interested (44.4%), and there are 5 students who are very interested (18.5%). Interest in learning is reviewed from the attention indicator; there are no students who are not interested (0%), there are 2 students who are less interested (7.4%), there are 10 students who are quite interested (37.0%), there are 12 students who are interested (44.4%), and there are 3 students who are very interested (11.1%). Interest in learning is reviewed from the involvement indicator: there are no students who are not interested (0%), there are 5 students who are less interested (18.5%), there are 9 students who are quite interested (33.3%), there are 10 students who are interested (37.0%), and there are 3 students who are very interested (11.1%). Interest in learning is reviewed from the interest indicator; there are no students who are not interested (0%), students who are less interested are 7 students (25.9%), students who are quite interested are 12 students (44.4%), students who are interested are 4 students (14.8%), and students who are very interested are 4 students (14.8%).
