Abstract

Suyani, Sesillia. 2025. The Use of Word Wall and Quizizz to Writing Mastery on Procedure Text (Quasi Experimental Study of Ninth Grade Students of SMP Islam Al Azhar 18 Salatiga in the Academic Year 2024/2025). A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Islamic University of Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. Ruwandi, S.pd., M.A. This study aims to find out the differences between Word Wall and Quizizz and also to find out the significant differences between both media on students' procedure text writing skills. The method used in this study is quantitative, and the research design used is quasi-experimental. The sample in this study was grade IX students of SMP Islam Al Azhar Salatiga in the 2024/2025 academic year, with IX A as the experimental class and IX B as the comparison class. The experimental class was taught using Word Wall while the comparison class was taught using Quizizz. Based on the calculation results. In the pre-test, the experimental class had a mean score of 76.52. Meanwhile, the comparison class had a mean pre-test score of 75.4; it was found that t-test < t-table, 0.663 < 2.105, where there was no significant difference before treatment was given. In the post-test, the experimental class had a mean score of 90.82, and the comparison class had a mean score of 80.69. The t-test was found to be 5.382 > t-table 2.105, where there was a significant difference in the post-test after treatment was given using either Word Wall or Quizizz. From the result, the researcher can conclude that Ha is accepted. There is a significant difference between students taught with Word Wall and Quizizz on procedure texts of class IX students of SMP Islam Al Azhar 18 Salatiga in the 2024/2025 academic year.
