Abstract
This study aims to determine the perspective of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga in the academic year 2024/2025 towards learning English speaking skills through vlog media. This research used a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The research was conducted through observation, interview, and documentation on 27 eleventh-grade students, and the researcher selected class F12. The findings showed that most students viewed vlogs positively as a learning platform. Many students think vlogging is flexible and interactive, improving confidence, creativity, and speaking skills. In addition, they feel that this vlogging activity is fun because they can freely express themselves. With this vlogging exercise, they also think that they are getting fluent in speaking because they have to repeat the sentences to be recorded until they are good enough to be recorded. However, this study found some challenges, such as device constraints, technical problems, and recording embarrassment. Vlogging is a successful platform for students to learn speaking and other skills, including collaboration, media competence, and self-directed learning. Keywords: student perspectives, speaking skills, vlogs, English language learning
