Abstract

This field study is aimed at elaborating three aspect: perspective gender,gender according to Musdah Mulia, and gender perspective according toMusdah Mulia and its implication toward Islamic Education. This kinds ofresearch is qualitative with literary work. Data collection with use libraryresearch, interview and documentation from author. The techniques used arebasically looking for source in library.According to Musdah Mulia views gender bias in the Islamic educatiooindicate bias still occurs in the Islamic education. Include: the field of cnrriculum,textbooks, and teachers. The factors that cause gender bias in Islamic education isthe mentality of the manager or execntive edncation is still dominant males tend tooccur in a way to maintain the gender gap in a long time. The impact of gender biasin the Islamic edncation inclnde: low levels of education of women, lack of womendecision-making positions both in the field of legislative, judicial, and executive.Efforts to address gender bias in edncation by seeking several categories, namely:Islamic Education provides patrons for someone to do something to generation andpeople are also very influential on the quality of the next generation that can achievea quality education among men and women. Equitable distribntion of canopportunity between men and women to be able to perform as brilliantly as men.After read the book about gender and edncation according to MusdahMulia and that the education is really important in one's life for man andwoman. Without education someone cannot changes their life to be better inthe future. This gender gives much inspiration and motivation in giving theexplanation about the importance of education, especially Islamic education.
