Abstract

Devina's graduating paper title is "THE INFLUENCE OF IMPLEMENTATION OF JIGSAWSTRATEGY TOWARDS SPEAKING SKILL OF THE SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS ATSMP NEGERI 7 SALATIGA IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2011/2012". The objectives of herresearch are the students of SMP negeri 7 Salatiga in the seventh grades of academic year2011/2012. The problem of this research is the ability speaking skill of students that haven'tstudy English. The factors are condition of students' who are lack vocabulary, the students' getused to speak their mother tongue (Javanese language) and they rarely practice to use English toco.nmunicaic. The data were taken by using oral test, pretest and posttest. Pretest and posttcst arcused by writer to get the data about implementation of jigsaw strategy towards students'speaking skill. The writers gets the main data from seventh grades of SMP negeri 7 Salatiga inthe academic year 20 l l /20 l 2 and secondary data taken from books, articles, websites. Thecollected data are analyzed by mean calculation. This study shows that 1) the level above ofteaching learning process in the English especially speaking skill before usingjigsaw strategy 2)generally, the students' speaking skill alter using jigsaw strategy in the English lesson and 3)there Is a degree or Implcmctation of Jigsaw Strategy Towards Speaking Skill of The SeventhGracie Students at SMP Ncgeri 7 Salatiga In the Academic Year 201112012"
