Abstract

This particular research is intended to reveal that are there any correlationbetween students' mastery on idiom to vocabulary enrichment. The mainquestions of this study are (I) Is there any correlation between idiom mastery tovocabulary enrichment of the eighth and the sixth semester students ofInternational Class Program of STAIN Salatiga in the academic year of2013/2014? (2) To what extent the correlation of idiom mastery and vocabularyenrichment of the eighth and the sixth semester students of International ClassProgram of STAIN Salatiga in academic year of 2013/20142.To answer these questions, the researcher uses quantitative research.Correlation method is applied in this research. Furthermore the researcher usestryout test and final test both of variables as the way to collect the data. Thetechnique to analyze the data, the writer uses SPSS statistics for windows V.21 toreduce the error calculation.At the end the discussions of this study, there is correlation betweenstudents' idiom mastery to vocabulary enrichment of the eighth and the sixthsemester students of International Class program of STAIN Salatiga in theacademic year of 2013/2014. From the correlation, it is found that there are apositive and significant correlation between the mastery of idiom to vocabularyenrichment, it is proved by employing software SPSS Statistics for windows V.21to find its correlation. The result is 0.710 and it is higher than the r-table.
