Abstract

ABSTRACT Lutfi Bahrul. 2020. Students’ Perceptions at the Implementation of Bilingualism in English for Specific Purposes Classroom at the Sixth Semester Students of English Education Department of Iain Salatiga. The awareness of English as an International language and a language of science is responded with mandatory English teaching in Junior High school to varsity level.with the status as a foreign language, English is occasionally used outside the classroom. Even during the class, instead of speaking English, Indonesia students tend to speak in Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language). the objectives of the research are: to define students’ perceptions on the implementation of bilingualism in English classroom. To know benefits experienced by students in implementation of bilingualism. To know students’ expectations related to the implementation of bilingualism in English classroom. The subject of this research were the sixth semester of semester students of english education department of iain salatiga. the number of particitpan were 32 students. the methodology of this research was descriptive qualitative. the teqnique data collection of this research were observation, documentation and questionaire. the result of this research was the students perception toward the implementation of billingualism in ESP class.
